Torbay Business Forum June Breakfast: Leadership, Connection and Community Impact
The latest Torbay Business Forum breakfast took place on Tuesday 2nd June 2026 at the Riviera International Centre, bringing together businesses from across Torbay and beyond for another morning of networking, insight and local connection.
This month’s main speaker was Helen Wylde-Archibald, CEO of Devon Chamber of Commerce. Helen shared insight from her leadership journey, drawing on her experience across strategic consultancy, governance, digital innovation and regional transformation. Her presentation explored the challenges and opportunities facing businesses across Devon, as well as her vision for Devon Chamber and how businesses can feel more connected, better supported and more able to grow.
The session also included a Community Spotlight from Sue Julyan, CEO of Citizens Advice Exeter and Citizens Advice Torbay. Sue provided an important update on the work Citizens Advice is delivering across our communities, highlighting the vital role the organisation plays in supporting local people, particularly during challenging economic times.
Together, the two presentations reflected a key theme of the morning: the importance of strong local networks. From business growth and regional collaboration to community support and practical advice services, the event underlined how much can be achieved when organisations across Devon stay connected and work together.
Thank you to everyone who attended, contributed and helped make the morning such a positive and engaging session. Thanks also to our sponsors, South Devon College and SSG Training & Consultancy, for their continued support of Torbay Business Forum.
