Thank you to last month’s speakers – Dr Phil Mitchell from Bay Photonics talking about the growth and importance of the Hi Tech Cluster in Paignton’s EPIC centre. The centre is full of vibrant innovative businesses who collaborate together across many sectors including climate change, sustainability, GPS and social media.

A huge pat on the back also for the inspirational talk from Michelle Brown from Wetwheels Torbay which gives disabled people the chance to go out to sea – inspired by Shaldon-based businessman, James Ashton, diagnosed with MND aged 56 just 24 hours after selling his business in 2018.

His desire is to leave a legacy so those with disabilities can enjoy the sea, so he has fully funded a specially adapted £180k Wetwheels boat. Michelle has welcomed 104 people in the first 2 months and asked us to spread the word about Wetwheels and also donate to help subsidise trips for disabled people.

Thank you to everyone – delegates, speakers and sponsors – Cavanna Homes and Insignia  – and of course, the great team at the RIC for the delicious breakfast and organisation of the event. More photos on the TBF Facebook page.
